Why does Thunderbird not accept my password and repeatedly asked for it for all hotmail accounts? I enter the password (repeatedly) and sometimes with will accept if and mostly not. How can this be fixed.

Good evening, For a few days I have this problem (probably with newest version (129.0/1). Each time i try to search something in a new tab by typing in search bar and pressing enter - it just will not proceed. The new tab just stays titled "new tab", doesn't proceed further until I press it few times (6-8 times) - then it loads the search engine with results.

It NEVER happened before. I am certain that I did not change anything.

I've received an email from 'mozilla', but in the end it's coming from a russian site called idealcart.ru.

I do believe this is fake, but was unsure what to do.

I logged into my mail and checked some mails and actioned it this afternoon.

I closed thunderbird and later when opeing it again all my mails and accounts was lost.

I can still see some of the local folders, but thunderbird does not import any mails when I try

Using 115.10.1 (32-bit), Windows 11.

I get a lot of SPAM. Much is filtered out upstream (via a Barracuda system supplied by my ISP) More (but less effectively) by Thunderbird. But some (too much) still gets through.

My question - most of the time I can recognize it's SPAM by only looking at headers - subject, and correspondent (sender). I have no need to check the email content.

But to junk the email I need to select it, which causes the email content to appear by the built in browser in TB.

Not an expert, but this seems like an unnecessary security risk, that gives the email content (and any included code) time to do something. Am I overthinking this? Is there a way to mark an email junk without selecting it?

I retain about 15,000 emails from 2015 to current. My Thunderbird crashed and I repaired the inbox. Once I did this the emails from November 2020 through August 11, 2024 vanished from my mail program. How do I get the missing emails back?

Thunderbird automatically updated to v128 earlier this week after I went to Help - About Thunderbird to check that it had updated to v115.14.

Everything seemed okay immediately after the update, but when I started Thunderbird the next day it was very unresponsive. Checking the Activity Manager showed that Thunderbird was indexing messages, but that this was happening very slowly. I let Thunderbird do its thing that day in the hope that things would settle down.

The next day when I started Thunderbird things were still bad. I tried Rebuilding the Global Database but when I restarted Thunderbird it was just as bad, if not worse.

I then turned off indexing in the Thunderbird settings and Thunderbird is now responsive and back to normal.

Is anyone else seeing anything like this? Any suggestions to fix the problem?

I am a long time Thunderbird user so my profile is very large with a lot of accounts, and has been through a lot of Thunderbird versions, so it is potentially more complicated than normal.

Thunderbird version is currently 128.1.0esr (32-bit).

I've just realized that this laptop is labled as a Windows 10. But it is not a Windows 10, it's a Windows 11. What do I, or should I do? Or does this really make any difference or matter?

I’m having trouble with Firefox extensions not functioning properly after the latest browser update. Despite updating the extensions and restarting Firefox, they either don’t load or behave unexpectedly. I’ve tried reinstalling the extensions and checking for conflicts, but the problem continues. I cannot disable or delete the two websites that appear in my Autoplay list under Settings. I've tried everything but when I reopen the window, they still have permission to "Allow Audio and Video". Why can't I disable this?

For months I have been unable to load the Google Meet website in Firefox. I keep my browser up-to-date and have tried different privacy settings, container tabs, etc. Every time I go to meet.google.come, I end up in a redirect loop pointing me to https://meet.app.goo.gl/?link=https://meet.google.com/&apn=com.google.android.apps.tachyon&ibi=com.google.Tachyon&efr=1&ifl=https://meet.google.com/about instead. Clearing cookies and such seems to fix it, until I log back into my Google accounts and the problem starts happening again. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hello, since the last update I can't read the Filter-Protokoll anymore. I only see the aktivated checkbox but no content. But I know that there a message about junk.

Login to server imap.mail.att.net with my user name failed a couple of weeks ago. I can't receive my emails but I can send them. What can I do?

I'm a very novice Windows 10 user and my ISP is Earthlink. When I open Firefox it brings up my start page in Earthlink - which has a Google window. Never had this problem before but now when I try to Google anything I get the above application notice. Received one response from the community and while the problem may be mine because I'm a very novice user the suggestions didn't seem to work or I was doing things wrong.

On my new samsung A55 installed Firefox for android and when opening a new tab, searching in the main search bar (preference is set to google) and then selecting the google search result, instead of the page opening up, a new tab opens up with the same search results. Any way to fix this?

since the last firefox update I cannot upload pictures to my blogs on blogger.com using my windows 11 computer. My Windows 7 computer with engineering software that won't run on Windows 11 still works fine with firefox and blogspot but I haven't allowed that computer to be updated by firefox. I did try blocking the shield to allow blogger to be exempted but that didn't help.
