I am not particularly tech-savvy. The solutions I have read are way above my head! 3 days ago it was all there with the icon showing on the desktop and today it has all gone. I need to use my email and I cannot lose all those messages. Please can someone tell me a simple way to get it all back? I am using different email address because, of course, you can't ask for support without logging in! So very unhelpful. Thank you in advance

I have been using Pocket for FF on my Windows 10 desktop for a long time. Recently, I am no longer able to view my SAVED articles. Surprisingly, I can view the ARCHIVED articles, but when I click on SAVES it says," Oops, something went wrong" Same problem on Chrome desktop. But my Android phone allows me to see my SAVES. Any idea?? I sign into Pocket with my FF account.

Greetings,

Following a recent Ubuntu update from 20.04 to 22.04, Firefox 129.0.2 has started spamming my syslog with messages like:

[Parent 39719, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 262891 is a zombie: file /builds/worker/checkouts/gecko/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:245

These seem harmless, but I'd like to identify a way to suppress the warnings, because they're mucking up my syslog. Is there a setting in about:config that would do that? I see lots of log-related settings there set to Warn, but have no idea which one could silence the warnings I'm seeing. Any tips or suggestions are much appreciated!

Thunderbird v102.15.1 is very slow to open in Win 7. Yes, I know Win 7 is obsolete, but I must continue on with it for a while longer.

When I open Win7 each morning and then try to open TB there is a very long delay before I get the TB prompt to select a profile, the then a long delay for TB to actually open, and then a long delay before I can actually select an email account to read. (I have 20+ accounts). I routinely open Windows Task Manager to see what is going on, and close unneeded programs.

In the past with older versions of TB back to 60.9.1, I recall seeing Thunderbird Profile Manager in list and changed the Priority from Normal to High or sometimes Realtime and that seemed to help. But with recent TB versions, the Task Manager has added several other items besides the Thunderbird Profile Manager - very long items that include something like "child ID1, child ID2 and child ID3." I have tried changing the Priorities of each of these to High or Realtime but am not sure that helps.

Eventually TB starts but when I go to my main email account and try to read Inbox with up to 120 emails each day, messages are very slow to load and I often get "Not Responding" for a long delay.

What is the solution to this problem? I move older messages from Inbox to local folders, delete Junk and Trash each day, etc.

I have tried several times to change the Default Search Provider in Thunderbird v102.15.1 and get error Could not add Open Search Provider for 'google.com' . In previous versions since v.60.9.1, the search engine for TB was Google.com, the default that I set for Firefox, or I could easily change the TB settings. However, with the upgrade to v102.15.1 (and several before that) I get the error message. The default for several versions is for some reason Wikipedia ! There are NO options in drop down menu. What is the solution to this rather odd situation?
