Hi I am using 115.12.1 32 bit how can I change the new mail notification pop up to a different location other than the bottom right... Thanks for your time and understanding.....

I keep getting this message...please advise, thank you: Sending of the message failed. The message was not sent due to exceeding the allowed number of recipients. The server responded: Insufficient system storage.

My thunderbird configuration file in appdata/roaming is huge -- 8 GB. I was trying to clean out old stuff and deleted all the messages in Archives. Then I emptied the trash. BIG MISTAKE! all my gmail accounts now have an empty inbox. I'm not sure if when I delete a message from inbox, if it also deletes it from Archives. Why does TBird store my gmail inbox in archives? My configuration file is still 8GB, so maybe they are still out there somewhere.

G'day, I cannot understand why I cannot get to send any e-mails. I receive this popup. I have no idea what I did. I am in my 80s and was born too early to grasp a lot of I T.' I would appreciate somebody to tell me what I need to do please. Cheers Malcolm

On June 16, I sent an email which went through just fine. I haven’t been able to send a receive any emails since. I got an error message that said that sending the password did not succeed and that there was a server error on inbound.att.net. That was followed up by an error message that said that the login to that server failed. I tried entering the password I had but it didn’t work, so I changed the password and the new password didn’t work. I don’t know what else to do. I’ve tried turning off the computer and turning it back on, closing Thunderbird and reopening it. I hope you will be able to get this problem resolved quickly. Thanks in advance!

My inbox was full, Thunderbird asked if I would like to compact, so I agreed. My entire inbox contents are now missing. I have read these may of been archived, but I cannot locate the messages/archive file. Can someone help please. I have cheked my web server and they have gone from there also....worried.

When I try to send an email from my dmonkman1@cogeco.ca account, I regularly get a message stating "Password required for outgoing (SMTP) server. When I enter the password associated with this email account, the same message reappears. The strange thing is that sometimes this message does not appear and the emails do send properly. I also sometimes get a message saying that the email was sent but that a copy was not placed in my Sent folder. I've updated Thunderbird (115.12.1 64-bit) but the problem still occurs. I've also spoken to my internet provider (Cogeco) and they're telling me that it's a Thunderbird issue.

Please help!

When The app launches or when it's told to send / receive, the app says it is downloading 10 messages but only 5 show up in the inbox (the actual numbers are for example only). The extra emails do not appear to be in the junk folder. The two accounts are: @verizion and @netzero. Where are the other emails going? I've looked in all the local folders. Any help truly appreciated.

I accidentally deleted my Thunderbird trash folder while deleting messages. How do I restore the folder (or subscribe)?

...The deleted folder isn't in my windows Recycle Bin.

Cox is our internet provider, and offers 5 email addresses, which we use. Now the email is 'migrating' to yahoomail. We keep the same e-dresses but establish a new password. I would like to keep all mail downloading to Thunderbird - the option seems to be logging on/off yahoo for each address otherwise. Neither Cox nor Yahoo is helpful, though I've searched through the available information. Any suggestions? TBH, I don't remember exactly how I set up all of the email addresses and passwords when I first started using Thunderbird, which also downloads my gmail and ancient yahoo-addressed mail. Any help desperately appreciated!

Emails have stopped coming in to in box. Email works OK on Iphone with Gmail. When I send from account I get this message.

"Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-petermillward441@gmail.com."

Thunderbird ściąga mi cały czas pocztę i dubluje. Zapycha mi komputer. WIem, ze mam skrzynkę 50Gb a na dyzku mam prawie 200 Gb w pliku, wg mnie ściąga raz na jakiś czas pocztę. Co mam zrobić? Arek

Thunderbird downloads and duplicates my mail all the time. It's clogging up my computer. I know that I have a 50Gb mailbox and I have almost 200Gb of files on my disk, so I think it downloads e-mail from time to time.

In How to Move Address Books and Filters to Another PC , I asked "How do I move all my message filters and address books from my Windows desktop PC to my Windows laptop?"

The solution was complicated. Here's a better, faster one:

Just copy the whole Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

Zip it with 7-zip using minimal compression, copy it to a portable hard drive or thumb drive, rename the existing Thunderbird folder on the laptop to Thunderbird.bak, and unzip the new Thunderbird folder to the laptop.

I had previously copied the Thunderbird folder directly to the portable drive, but that takes hours because of all the little files. 7-zip is faster.

Using Thunderbird version 115.11.1 (32-bit), I cannot set up my Gmail account. I've tried all tips and suggestions: Accepted cookies, OAuth2 authentication in both IMAP and SMTP, removed saved password, but still got the message: "probably wrong configuration, username or password". At start, enter my name and Gmail address, leave the password blank and click "Done" I don't see any sign of "Sign in with your Google account" as I have read in several places.
