Hi,

I'm on a Pixel 7 and I use Firefox Focus as my default browser app for news/socials/daily browsing. It's not connected to any Google accounts and I erase as I go along to avoid cookies/marketing/ad tracking. I also run Bitdefender. Focus background data usage is off.

Today I ran out of mobile data and on checking apparently Firefox Focus used 9GB of foreground data just today. I'm not sure how, as I was only on mobile data for about an hour, and the phone was in my pocket for that time. It shows 11 minutes of screen time, but 49% of my battery used today.

Is this a bug, or have I been hacked/compromised?

I love using Firefox Focus but it does not feel intuitive or ergonomic to have the address bar at the very top of the app. I would love the option for it be enabled at the bottom for ease of touch.

I hope this feature is considered in future updates.

Recently, within the last 3 weeks or so, I have become unable to log in to amazon.com using Firefox Focus for Android. This is a new development. I can still browse Amazon pages while logged out, and hitting the button to log in still brings me to the page to enter phone number or email address. However, entering email address/phone and then pressing the Sign In button redirects the user to a page saying that cookies must be enabled in order to log in.

Again, this is very recent. I previously did all my Amazon shopping within Firefox Focus for Android without issues.

1) Reporting this change. 2) Is there any extension for Firefox that makes a browser believe it can store cookies? I doubt it, but had to ask. Thanks.

When looking support for a different issue with Firefox Focus for Android, attempted to log in to make a support request. Unable to log in to Mozilla Support while using... Firefox Focus for Android. Get endless spinny-wheel. Could not log in without switching to Firefox for Android.

is there a field planned for firefox focus where you can enter the autocomplete url for search engines? It just says my search engine doesnt support autocompletion, but there's an official link by kagi itself, just nowhere to put it. https://kagi.com/api/autosuggest?q=%s

I did post this before, and Paul replied (thanks) but he didn't suggest a solution. When I add bookmarks to the Firefox Focus home screen, those icons are cut off, so the label is very difficult to read. If this is a bug then I reported it earlier to Bugzilla, but if it is not a bug then how can I fix it, please? Thank you.

I used to share videos seamlessly on social media through the YouTube share option but recently I have found that all my share options on my YouTube are gone. This happens only on my Firefox browser I double checked on my safari browser as well as google chrome and the share options are visible there. I believe this means that its only those share options are missing from my Firefox browser not my YouTube account. please help me resolve this issue.

I have added (as a start) some web shortcuts to my Firefox Focus home screen. However, they are cut off, so I can only see the top part of the label. I can work out what they are but what happens when I add more shortcuts? How can I see the whole shortcut and label, please? I'm using Android version 14.

I'm using Firefox focus on my iPhone.

iOS is the latest version of 15 and 16.

Question 1.

We use it as a content blocker for Safari.

When I open iCloud notes, the characters are not displayed. Only the photo will be displayed. If you remove the content blocker, it will be displayed normally.

The language used is Japanese.

Can I avoid it by setting focus?

Question 2.

I thought I'd check the iOS version.

If you enter iOS 16.7.8 in the search field, you will get a URL error.

I can do it with other browsers, but why can't I do it with focus?

Is there a solution?
