Steps: - Type anything into address bar (or navigate to a webpage) - Select any text in address bar - Copy the text (either with Ctrl+C or right-click menu) - Try to paste in any app besides Firefox

Expected behavior: - The copied text will paste

Outcome: - No text is pasted - No new entry is shown in the KDE clipboard

Any link on any webpage that I try to copy also exhibits this behavior. However, if I just select normal text on a webpage and copy it, everything works as intended. Maybe there's an issue with copying things that Firefox labels as "links"?

Hyatt.com links to websites work on every other browser (Chrome, Brave, Opera, Edge) but hotel websites on Firefox just spin endlessly and use too many resources. They never finish loading. I've turned off ad blockers, DuckDuckGo, and a few other add-ons to see if they're the issue, adjusted multiple other settings (proxy, etc.) and it makes no difference. This is becoming an issue with multiple websites in Firefox in recent weeks.

When I add certificate exceptions, such as for my router's self-signed certificate, Firefox forgets the exception at seemingly random intervals. Often this happens in several days. In one case it was overnight. This has been going since at least early 2023, probably a year.

In noticed Firefox also forgets settings like "allow popups" set on a site (like on Gmail for example), but not necessarily at the same time as certificate exceptions are forgotten. Other settings don't seem to be changed or forgotten.

These problems occur on different Macs using the same Mozilla account. Refreshing Firefox has made no difference.

Time and time again i come across websites that show a https only mode alert. When i klick to connect anyway, the connection DOES show https instead of http in the adressbar. How does this work? I do remember that previously (might already be over a year ago) when visiting http websites the connection is the adressbar shows http and not https, with a red color and warning icon saying that the site doesn't support https, but now as already said the connection becomes https even when the alert clearly said https isn't available.

After probably more than a decade using Firefox, I suddenly cannot access my email on Xfinity. Now I have to use Chrome to get to my email. The message I get is:

Secure Connection Failed An error occurred during a connection to oauth.xfinity.com. PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR Error code: PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR

I looked at the Help for this and couldn't understand any of it; besides which, the help didn't have this specific error; instead mentioned 2 other types of error: SSL ERROR RX MALFORMED HANDSHAKE and SSL ERROR UNSUPPORTED VERSION

I have been using Startpage as my search engine forever. Startpage has a new option to delete cookies when you x out of a tab. It has a different url than the regular Startpage. I tried to get Firefox to accept it. Two thousand variations, iterations later, and I still couldn't. Now when I open Firefox it says, startpage.com/ not found in a big red ribbon at the top of the page. Firefox won't let me go back to the old one either. There are other things but I'll start with this.

What else can I do to identify the problem? I've taken the following actions: Restarted the app, refreshed then reset the app, ran troubleshooter mode, uninstalled then reinstalled the app, re-booted my PC and shut down-rebooted my PC, disabled all protections in Bitdefender(firewall, ransom, etc), ran a full anti-virus scan, checked Chrome and Edge(they work fine), created a 2nd profile but no change. My system consists of the following: ASUS Z390-a MB I5-9400 CPU 64GB of RAM 850W ATX PSU Intel 1TB SSD(OS) Windows 11 Pro I believe this problem started soon after I updated the BIOS on my ASUS MB. For the past week, Firefox for Windows 10, v 114.0.2 (64-bit) has been automatically opening all downloads. If you go into the download window, all downloads say "opening in..."

I've already gone into about.config and changed browser.download.AlwaysOpenPanel to false and it still happens. What else do I have to do to get it to stop?

I'm unable to verify my Mac to log into my Chase bank account, since I last cleaned out my cookies. When I enter my verification code and password, the fields revert to blank rather than submitting. I've cleaned my cache and cookies, restarted my browser, spoken to Chase reps... but it seems the issue is the browser. Firefox is the only browser I have this problem with.

It was suggested to me that Total Cookie Protection is not allowing Chase to verify, but I toggled off Enhanced Tracking Protection on the site, as well as adding exceptions as many of Chase's secure servers as I've seen (the exceptions in the attached screenshot go way past 7...), and I still can't verify and log in.

After updating to Firefox 115.0-1, I noticed that the tab names for all inactive tabs automatically greys out whenever the main Firefox window loses focus (see attached gif image). Only the system theme is affected. I should also note that only Firefox 115 exhibits this behavior (downgrading to Firefox 114.0.2-1 fixes the issue).

I'm not sure if this is by design. I've gone through the change log for Firefox 115 and found no mentions of this.

Of course, the behavior isn't that big of a deal. However, since I'm using a window manager (i3wm), an annoying "flash" (see attached gif image) can be observed every time I press a keybinding to activate a binding mode.

If this is a new feature, I'd very much like to turn it off in about:config.

Does anyone know how?

I use Sonic Studio 3 on my ROG laptop for better sound. It was working well in the past when playing any audio on Firefox, however, it stopped working the last month. The app still works when playing audio from the local hard drive, it can apply the sound effects I changed through the sound manager (sonic studio), but still, the effects don't apply when playing YouTube videos or audio from Firefox. I tried to uninstall sonic studio and reinstall it again, but the problem was not solved. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

I have used Firefox literally since its inception. Do an enormous amount of streaming with it. As such I check for updates every time it's launched. My most recent update finished with an INFURIATING MESSAGE FROM MOZILLA STATING NO FURTHER SUPPORT FOR WINDOWS 7, and had the AUDACITY to suggest I transition to WINDOWS 8 OR NEWER OPERATING SYSTEM. Since when did Firefox/Mozilla start sucking up to bill gates and his band of fools? Get this straight now and FOREVER, I WILL NOT NOW, TOMORROW OR EVER INSTALL WINDOWS 8 OR HIGHER ON ANY MACHINE THAT I OWN. No one can justify why microsuck insists on an INTERNET CONNECTION TO PLAY A GAME OF SOLITARE!! Microsuck insists on creating an account to access the trash filled microsuck app store. It ain't happening as long as I have a pulse. If Firefox organization want to buddy up with microsuck, HAVE AT IT!! I'll NOT follow the advice. To hell with microsuck AND those that push their trash down the publics throat. I'll quit using their browser. I ONLY post HERE because the miserable pricks don't offer a way to contact them directly. Feel free to criticize and slash away at my intelligence. I got broad shoulders and a BIG backside. Hello, Please tell me how to remove the tab on the far left of the photo. I can close tabs, but this one is permanent. It is there whenever I open up Firefox.

After setting Firefox as the default browser, every time I search on address, it opens Yahoo website instead of staying with Firefox. What else can I do to stop this from happening?
