Whenever I log into my amazon account, a windows prompt pops up telling me to use "windows hello passkeys" so I can log into the website using my windows pin/fingerprint. I cannot find a way to stop this from popping up, and I do not want to be bothered by it. Is there a way to prevent this from showing? I can't find any solution online

TeamVIEWER icon showed up on laptop this morning - my regular Mac desktop screen missing, figured out it TV was appearing under Guest User. Then I made error of downloading installer thinking my son was wanting to help me clean up my lap top from afar because I am 80 and get very confused and had asked him for help because I don't understand the tech vocabulary. Anyway, I can't get rid of it. It had someone's PW (hidden) an ID and could be 'remote controlled'. I saw a yellow caution sign appear so I stopped trying to install. but now I get a TEAM VIEWER Package that won't delete or go away.

This is very scary to a senior because EVERYONE is warning us don't click on unknowns. No one has used my laptop. I live alone. It appeared by itself this morning. And it had a Safari icon but I use only Firefox.

Thank you.

When trying to load a PFX certificate into the latest version of Firefox on a new Windows 11 computer, the certificate will load just fine but Firefox will not offer prompts for things such as mark the key as exportable or enable strong private key protection. Tried the certificates in chrome and they work just fine.

This causes strong private key protection to be enabled by default and Firefox prompts for the security certificate as it loads each stage of the login screen. You have to select the certificate at least six times before you can get to a screen where you can enter your password for the site, and then you constantly have to select the certificate for every function of the web site thereafter.

Any work around for this?

Uninstall firefox and reinstall!!! No by doing that you will lose all of your data thats attached to firefox anywhere from you bookmark to user names and so on, Thas not a good solution AT ALL!!

Hi!

I've been having consistent trouble getting firefox to save my passwords. I'm signed in, have all the password-managing options enabled, and I import my passwords from chrome (which I've wanted to stop using) but my saved passwords tab is always empty. The next time I use firefox and I'm logged out, it's all wiped clean. When I try to synchronize my settings and passwords after importing again, nothing happens when I click Synchronize.

I've restarted the browser many times, opened it in Troubleshoot Mode (here I was able to import, save my passwords and synchronize just fine), went on to disable all my extensions one by one, themes, and hardware acceleration, but when I opened the browser normally, the problem persisted. I don't know what to do at this point!

I'd appreciate some help, thank you.

I'm trying to troubleshoot a connection error and cannot find anything about 'SSL_ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_SECURITY_ALERT'? What is this trying to tell me exactly? Is there documentation or a debugging switch to elaborate this error, or is it really necessary to dig into the source code to find out about this? Even mozilla search and google comes up empty.

I'm running 115.12.0esr on Linux. I have another Linux system running 115.7.0esr that has no problem connecting to the same URL.

Thanks!

Hey all, Before I go to far, here... Firefox version 127.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Extensions - Malwarebytes browser guard.

What I've done: Cleared cache, history, etc. etc. ran multiple system scans restart app restart windows

So how do I keep Firefox from opening pop-up for about:config? That's right, There are pop ups that firefox allow to open new tabs, and its the about:config page.

Also, every time I start typing out google in the address bar auto suggest fills in googleleadservices or something like that. I already went through all the same steps above and more. I originally thought it was just opening one of the last pages I went to, but if I've "cleared" everything as per the way firefox has it set up, why would it have any history of what the last page was?

I added a secondary email to my account last September--or so I thought. My profile currently shows only the email I log in with. When I try to add a secondary email, I am told that another user has registered this email (same response for two different emails). Note that I regularly receive email from Mozilla at the secondary email address. Why isn't this showing up in my profile?

I add 2FA whenever possible. I was adding a new website yesterday and was unable to: FireFox (v. 127.0.2 on 64-bit Windows 10) was showing "Log in with Facebook" that was blocking one of the squares on the QR code! So I had to enter the many characters that were presented in order to add the 2FA code to Authy!

I looked in the settings and couldn't find anyway to turn that off.

How can this be fixed?

Thanks,

John
