After installing Firefox on a new Windows 11 laptop, I've noticed some issues with the scroll bar. If I'm trying to view comments on Medium, for example, I am unable to scroll in the comments window as the main page scroll bar blocks it. I did not have this issue with Firefox on my previous Windows 11 laptop. I've tried changing some settings to see if it makes any difference with no success. I found a previous question regarding a similar issue where someone replied with a suggestion to toggle the "Always show scrollbar" option in the General > Browsing settings, however this option does not exist in my settings.

As seen in the attached screenshot, both scroll bars sometimes appear at the same time. However hovering the mouse over them activates the main windows scrollbar, making it impossible to scroll in the comments window. Trying to scroll the comments window with the keyboard arrow keys also does nothing.

I would really appreciate some advice on how I can fix this!

This has only recently happened but PDF comments are no longer displaying in OWA365 when using Firefox. I can open the same email in Edge and they are displayed fine. Strangely, if I go to print the PDF within Firefox, I can see the comments.

I've set my Application to open PDF with Adobe Acrobat Reader but this makes no difference. Is there anything else I can try?

When I open Firefox, it seems like it does not does anything, but then it starts playing a music I was hearing in youtube earlier (like it seems to me that the window is opened somewhere outside of my screen??

If I click a second time in Firefox, then it opens a normal window in my screen as usual, but the other one keeps playing in the back.

I've tried changing screen resolutions, checked that no other monitors were detected, restarted computer,

Not sure what to do next!

I want help to recover bookmarks and password saved on my Firefox browser.

There was a issue with my Windows 11, due to which I was not able to boot on to Windows, hence I don't have the option to export the profile etc. Due to this the only option for me was to copy all the data on C drive through cmd prompt. After having taken all data back, I have reinstalled windows and firefox.

I did some search on the internet to locate the profile files so that I can get back my bookmarks and passwords. However I am unable to locate the same.

Request some guidance and help on this.

I am currently finding that the address bar history search using caret "^", does not always list all the webpages that I have visited, especially if I found the page using the search bar within the site. Is there a way to enable Form and Search History in the most recent versions of Firefox as described in the previous post?

I am a little lazy and i want to open firefox(one window) on my two monitors, i can do this by open firefox then open another tab, then drag to the other monitor, but i want to know if is possible to add a command on the shortcut and do this in one go.

Note: i am using linux mint 20+.

I'd love to find a solution! Sometimes this happens when opening a link from my email (to a well-known retailer as shown in the images below), and at other times it is in response to a website requesting information as part of a 2-factor ID request or, or even a password change. It has become almost almost debilitating! What setting seems to be wrong here.

I use Webroot SecureAnywhere and the relevant updates are applied automatically.

I installed Firefox on a Macbook Pro with Apple Silicon, M3. The installation was from the Firefox site, I downloaded the dmg and then dragged into Applications.

I find that playback of media stutters, and is choppy--not sure of a better way to explain it. E.g., YouTube videos and the Bandcamp player have "stuttered sound". Opening another site in another tab can make this effect worse. Likewise, trying to run Google Meet in a browser window causes basically everything on the computer to become very slow.

This still happens even if I go to "about:profiles" and then "restart with add-ons disabled".

But if I switch to another browser, Safari or Chrome, then I don't have the issue. e.g. I can play YouTube in the background fine even when running some compute intensive task.

I have also tried turning on/off "performance settings" and the "use hardware acceleration" checkbox underneath it -- neither of those seem to have any effect.

Activity Monitor showed that at most Firefox was using ~4 GB of memory of a total 48 GB, and the memory pressure indicator seems to be quite low.

I have run Firefox on other systems (e.g. System76, older Macbook Pro) with multiple windows open each having 20-30 tabs and never had an issue like this.

It really seems like it has something to do with how Firefox is interacting with the M3? Happy to learn I'm wrong. And happy to provide more details about the hardware or my settings if it would help.

I have lost recent activity on home screen. There are blank tiles but nothing is being added.Hovering over tiles nothing happens. How do I get recent activity to appear again ?

So I've recently shifted from Chrome to Firefox and there's his specific touch pad gesture I set up on windows settings and it acts like media controls, but it seem to be unresponsive. Tried it with Chrome and VLC media player and it worked normally. Tried setting about:config; media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled but its already set to true.

I have Windows 11, Firefox yahoo email. I must have clicked somewhere that consolidated all my email to the left in a narrow format. Can't locate where to correct it. Also had no luck attaching a screen shot. Next to the condensed email, is another column that is blank except for the white envelope. Is there a place where I can change the format? Thank you.

I want to change "browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once" preference to true. So I do it in about:config page and if I reaccess this page in another tab within the session, then my value is being kept.

However, when I restart Firefox (thru "Exit" in "File" menu), all previous pages get restored and that preference is "false" again in the config after a new browser start.

I also made a user.js file with the following content: // user_pref("browser.startup.couldRestoreSession.count", 0); user_pref("browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once",true);

Nothing helps.

I can't stay on this site for very long at all, and do my best to write out what I need as quickly as possible then leave. I would never contribute to answering any questions other then my own because how bright it is will eventually cause me pain.

In my view, it represents an amateurish view on website design and likely has an impact of skewing the regular user base to people that don't mind it.

After masking them with my duck duck go service, I can't find the link to verify my emails. Where can I see any return responses using my mask email?

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum!
