Will Thunderbird mail still function in the same way from 16th September?

When I receive junk email, Thunderbird shows mail received (for example 10 emails) there are ...again for example 3 in my inbox and the other 7 are nowhere to be found. Not in junk and not in trash. I am concerned that there might be some emails that are not junk that I am not able to get. I would like to be able to review the junk folder prior to deletion. I opened Tbird to see what version the new Ubu 24.04 installed (115.12.0, which I discovered wouldn't be published, so I downloaded v.r.2. In this set of FF (127.0.1) pages now, the mouse wheel will not scroll. It works everywhere else in my installation (24.04).
Ideas?
FF settings have "smooth scrolling" checked; unchecked it did nothing to improve. mouse is a ~recent Logitech (M317c) which as noted, works in all other apps.

I have been using [edited] @comcast.net as user name for Firefox account. I want to delete that email because I'm leaving comcast ASAP. I read instruction that say add a new email name as a secondary account and then delete the primary one above. I entered [edited[ @gmail.com. I got a message that said that account already exists. Since I didn't know that or remember any password for it, I entered [edited] @gmail.com and said "forgot password." I changed it Now Firefox won't let me in using the [edited] @gmail.com account. Right now I'm using 3 different email accounts on Thunderbird. All 3 of them are Office365 accounts. For some reason, 1 of the 3 accounts is prompted at least once a day, sometimes twice a day, to enter my password on the Office365 website popup that is used with the OAuth2 authentication process. It's very irritating, all 3 accounts are Microsoft Office business accounts. What would be the reason why it needs to authenticate daily? Is there no password manager to do this automatically once it's been entered once? Can I pick a different authentication method? What is the correct change to make so I don't have to keep typing in my password every day?

I am wanting to have 2 of my email addresses to be downloaded before all the others. I have indeed successfully "moved" these 2 accounts to the top of my account list (Shift and mouse). However they are not downloaded in the order of the account list.
How do I accomplish this? Is it possible?
I created a ticket, and it auto-responded to run this by the Volunteer Community. I really want this to be handled by support, but welcome anyone to give me a solid answer.

With about 60G of accumulated e-mail in several Microsoft accounts, I moved all accounts into T-bird and put most in local folders. This somehow became over 600G in size. Everything works and compacting seems to be getting done since it's been working some weeks now. Yet this ten-fold increase in size is unwieldy and very difficult to backup. Perhaps related, I notice that M'soft's "new" free Outlook app is present and perhaps running on this computer. And all the e-mails I send from my main Hotmail account are listed twice in the T-bird sent folder. About half of the times I start T-bird, I get a message saying that login to server outlook.office365.com with username xxxxxxxx@hotmail.com failed; the other accounts never do this. T-bird offers to retry, but that usually ends with a repeat of the same message. I've learned that if I let it open, with time, the e-mails do appear, though I don't know how or why. I've also been using Libreoffice successfully for months now though I doubt that anything to do with this. T-bird nicely solved the original e-mail oversize problem I had with Microsoft's size limitations and I'd appreciate advice on how to deal with what's happening.

I have always kept old emails in the LOCAL folders for security reasons not having all my info on a server somewhere that could be comprimized/stolen/scammed. I am now on Yahoo and have heard security is not the best so I am not sure I want to put all these files on their servers. Now, however, as my PC is getting old I am afraid it could crash, I assume I would loose all those emails-correct?. If I go into my TB Profile and find the Mail/Local Folder I can copy and paste it to a flash drive. Would that be the recommended way to back up? If I did this process a month from now would it, like a file, ask me to overwrite what is already there and add anything new? If my PC did crash, could I do the reverse and copy and paste that flash drive Local folder into my new TB profile? Thank You.

Please bring a few more features like this, because Firefox can be made much more beautiful (I think so). Especially custom wallpaper should come as quickly as possible. This is just one user's opinion, I hope you take it into consideration.
