Changed Gmail.com password and now Thunderbird will not login even with the new verified password. I have tried all recommendations on the internet and nothing works.

Dear supporter, our firefox is managed by our company, while download file, not sure why some file type could not setup default option, due to no check box "Do this automatically for files like this from now on", could you share how to fix ? Thanks a lot.

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum! How can I resolve issues with video streams from Facebook Workplace?

This issue doesn't happen in Chrome. When I stream video in Facebook Workplace, the video stops frequently and becomes poor quality at times. I have recommended performance settings enabled, using hardware acceleration.

Is there a way to stop initial pop ups when opening FireFox? They slow productivity! I don't need to be reminded that I have new emails when I am already in Thunderbird.

Can't get out of offline mode. It happen once previous but an icon was available and got back on. Now going to settings and nothing works. Surprisingly found nothing with Google nor Mozilla support. No email; big problem.

The offline option does not give off or on but option that I don't understand.

The file at the top shows offline and there doesn't seem a way to change (no check mark).

The moderator, 10 years ago, said uncheck on life or two blue line. No such think.

Computer is connected to internet. Shut down MAC and restarted. Still OFFLINE. I must be online but cannot download my messages.

I'm trying to troubleshoot a connection error and cannot find anything about 'SSL_ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_SECURITY_ALERT'? What is this trying to tell me exactly? Is there documentation or a debugging switch to elaborate this error, or is it really necessary to dig into the source code to find out about this? Even mozilla search and google comes up empty.

I'm running 115.12.0esr on Linux. I have another Linux system running 115.7.0esr that has no problem connecting to the same URL.

Hey all, Before I go to far, here... Firefox version 127.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Extensions - Malwarebytes browser guard.

What I've done: Cleared cache, history, etc. etc. ran multiple system scans restart app restart windows

So how do I keep Firefox from opening pop-up for about:config? That's right, There are pop ups that firefox allow to open new tabs, and its the about:config page.

Also, every time I start typing out google in the address bar auto suggest fills in googleleadservices or something like that. I already went through all the same steps above and more. I originally thought it was just opening one of the last pages I went to, but if I've "cleared" everything as per the way firefox has it set up, why would it have any history of what the last page was?

Hi, I just reopened Thunderbird after my computer was shut down automatically after a Dell firmware update. I had 15 email tabs open before this -- things I wanted to go back to or that reminded me to do something. They are now empty! I have gone into Troubleshoot mode a couple of times and restarted Thunderbird. I've also checked the "remove addons (or something like that)" check box. No luck. Can someone out there help? I'm going to try restarting my computer now. Thanks!

Everytime I try to open MediaFire it's just a blank page, I've refreshed the page repeatedly but it didn't work, I also tried with other links, but it also didn't work, I kept seeing the blank page over and over again.

I know this problem has been discussed extensively, but I can't fix it even after reading the previous posts.

I have an institutional email address that uses outlook.office365 server and mandatory two factor autentication. I had my Thunderbird setup with this, which suddenly stopped working one day on my office PC. I updated Thunderbird to the newest version, but the issue pertains. Currently I'm running Thunderbird 115.12.2. on a Windows 10 machine.

When I try to fetch my emails from this server, a popup window appears that asks for my institutional login credentials. When I enter them, a second window appears, asking for the two factor autentication. However, this window seems to be corrupt, as it does not contain any information, and and it's impossible to type in verification code, as there's no input area at all (see the first picture - note that I'm using a localized version of Thunderbird).

When I click on Privacy and cookies in the right bottom corner, then two lines appear (although without any labels), where I can type in my verification code (I guess that it is the second line, because it shows dots in place of the typed characters, as for passwords). A screenshot of this window can be seen in the second picture.

However, after typing the correct code and clicking on the grey button, the first window reappears, this time with my email address that keeps flashing forever and nothing happens. It does not even matter if I type in the right verification number or just anything, it produces the same behaviour. As a result, I can't log in to my mailbox, which is operational, because I can log in there through the web interface of outlook, and also from my laptop using Thunderbird 78.14.0. I also made sure that the server name and authentication methods are correct (outlook.office365.com, port 993, SSL/TLS, OAuth2).

Do you have any suggestion how to solve this issue?

David, here are two screen shots (ss) to clarify my issue with email and a third regarding another issue (see below).

Number one ss shows what I see when I go to Thunderbird. I am allowed to delete if I wish by first marking the email and then clicking delete. If, however, I wish to view the message, Number two ss appears. I cannot delete the message without going back to Number one ss as that option has now disappeared. This was no problem on my old computer.

The other issue is related to the above. I have over 250 emails without being able to access them (see Number three ss). On the left upper side is the number of emails I have, but only six old emails appear, something that is confirmed in the upper right frame. No matter what I do, I cannot access them.

I have been a long term Firefox user, but recently Firefox on Ubuntu seems to have more and more problems.

I have Firefox 127.0.2 (64-bit) on Ubuntu 22.04. I have 0 extensions or addons installed.

Another one: I cannot select the country code from the drop down list when entering phone number in Ryanair, so basically I can't buy flight tickets from there. Chromium Browser didn't work as well, but Safari did.

I recently bought a new laptop and didn't import Firefox to the new one. Now I can't access my passwords etc on Firefox because it asks my for my primary password. I have no idea what that might be. Does anyone know if there is any way to recover the passwords please?

I use fire fox as my default browser. It is still the default but now when I go to search the yahoo start page comes on. I cannot search with fire fox as this stupid yahoo home page over rides it. Please help!

There’s right-click + “Forget about this site”, but that deletes the information for the entire second-level domain (say example.org).

When in the process of moving things from *.example.org to *.example.com peu à peu, then I need to be able to individually forget say chat.example.org because it’s already moved to chat.example.com but retain all information for other *.example.org hosts.

Hi, got a problem for the last several days - on each visited site Firefox (my guess) is launching a pop up about add-ons for Ad Blocks tham I am using were updated with official national filters for Polish market.

This is super annoying and the pop-up jumps on almost every new site bieng visited (it is visible for ca. 5 seconds). Is there any way to stop it? How can I dissable this feature?

I have used Thunderbird for many years. I had a problem viewing a jpg file that I couldn't resolve and decided to uninstall Thunderbid to install it again. Mail is working smoothly but I can't access my multi-year Calendar. I've tried several alternatives with no solution and I really need help please. I'm in Portugal and I'm Portuguese.
