I'm new here so please bear with me if I've posted in the wrong place or have missed something obvious.

I running Windows 10, fully updated, on a laptop. I have been using Firefox browser now for many years, suits my needs and avoid's using Goolges Chrome. My Firefox was updated a in the last few days and it shows as up to date on Version 129.0.1 64bit.

I noticed late last night that when opening a fresh window and enter a search term in either the address bar or the Google search bar, my usual choice of search engine, I hit return and nothing happens. Any text I've input disappears totally. Not at all sure what's going on but have found that if I open a new private window Firefow will act as I'd expect without any issues.

I have two other browsers on my laptop, Edge and also Avast's own offering which both work as expected when I enter a search term. Have never experienced this before with the exception of years ago when malware protection wasn't great. It almost seems as though something is just stopping Firefox from searching anything I enter. I can use the bookmarks just fine and then everything works as usual.

Yesterday I thought that maybe following the new windows culmulative updates I was offered and apparently installed just fine, that I needed to restart which a tried and I thought it had cured the issue. Seems that it hasn't and still having the same issue.

Any idea's or thought's on what the cause of this is?

My Yahoo mail (used to be Cox) was working fine until the weekend then started giving me a pop up asking new log in as mentioned in another query: https://support.mozilla.org/bm/questions/1459534

where the "Thunderbird" log in page runs through several URLs (Yahoo and Google among them) and winds up on a URL tsdtocl.com which a couple of sites flag as malicious. NoahSUMO suggests running an AV scan.

I ran MBAM pro (scan for rootkits), Malwarebytes adwcleaner, Sophos Scan and Clean and received clean on all. Haven't run HitmanPro as it messed up my computer several years ago when I tried it.

I tried moving mail from the inbox of one of the accounts (I have several) to a Local folder, deleting the account, and creating a new account (thinking maybe something would be different?). Of course, it wasn't. The login page winds up on the same URL: tsdtocl.com

My Mailwash Pro had suddenly stopped connecting to the Yahoo accounts over the weekend as well.

Regarding thunderbird in your new version 128.1.0 esr 64 bites. In fast filter for search messages. The mail block and stop working for 1 to 5 minutes. Please check and resolve the problem. Thank you in advance !

I recently came across the Thunderbird versions are being mentioned as "esr".

In 115.0 version, I see "esr" is added from the 115.10.2esr to 115.14.0esr, the latest version. I also do not see any change in the installers provided. I would like to understand what is the difference between the previous versions and the versions with "esr"?

In 128.0 version, I can see only 128.0.1esr and 128.1.0esr. Is there no normal updates? Now only esr is supproted?

I had version 115.0 installed but I was able to upgrade to 128.1.0esr without any issue. Is this supported?

I recently deleted accounts and passwords that were stored in Firefox under my web browser account. Is there anyway I can get that data restored? I have access to the same email/account in Firefox, but need to restore the deleted website account/credential data.

I am not the one using Firefox for iOS; my sister is. I am not looking for an actual fix at this point, I just want to know if anyone else is having the problem.

My sister was having no problem logging into Chase with her 8th gen iPad until about a week ago (my apologies, I don't know the exact day). She tried to log in, and the Web site took her to the system requirements page.

The weird thing is, her system was fine according to their list. But she updated to the latest iOS (18-something) and then the latest Firefox for iOS 129.0.1 (she doesn't like .0 versions and always waits for .0.1).

She got the same error.

Chase insists that the problem is hers. Personally, I don't trust a corporation that big farther than I can throw their combined offices on the planet. Is anyone else getting this problem?

Again, I am not looking for a fix at the moment, just looking to find out if the problem really is in her set.

Please tell me what do. From time to time, Firefox will not connect my desktop to the internet. At the same time I can access the internet with my iPhone. The internet in my home is working. Right now the computer cannot connect to internet site or restore previous tabs.

I have just got the update for Supernova release running under Thunderbird Portable . I have a load of issues

1) Some tabs to get ADDRESS BOOK and SETTINGS in the tools menu dont show anything at all. Nothing happens when I click them.

2) When I look in ABOUT it says it cant check for updates due to internal error.

The basic functions work but I cant update settings or add to my address book because it wont give me the screens to do it and it wont update due to the internal error.

I have used thunderbird portable for years with no problem but tese are just the disasters I have found so far.

I've had problems with the new version of TB since it was launched. When I try to fill out an email recipient it takes 30 seconds to a minute to locate the person. When I go to my calendar it shows as empty until I reboot TB.

I would like to start again on a new profile, but I have a huge legacy of emails and calendar entries going back to 2008. So I would like to port those parts only and leave the rest behind. How do I do this?

Recently i updated my Thunder bird account and have to say the worst thing i have ever done .. I use win 11 not by choice .. What has happened is i have lost everything i had saved and now do not get emails .. I had to reinstall my mail accounts but the pass words do not work and new pass words are the same.!! Deleted thunder bird and re installed it only to get the same Thunder bird set up . I have had no mail for a couple of weeks now which is a problem as i get messages from from my trade accounts !! Now can some one help with this problem ?? Regards Honiton ..

Delete Google and their employees!lol does Facebook have any thing to do with it, maybe? Oh my gosh, where did all those come from? Someone is messing with me bad.

I periodically can not send emails, the message displayed is: An error occurred while sending mail: outgoing SMTP Too many concurrent SMTP connections

I see lots of posts about emails disappearing but none exactly fit my situation.

I find messages disappearing especially when I move them to another folder. My config is TB115.10.1 Been using TB for countless years as an excellent app. After update 115 it has turned into a real mess for me. Always been POP accounts. Gmail is the server. All mail left on the server unless I delete it. I create a new POP account every year to keep track of emails by year. Have lots of folders to place the inbox messages.

For about a week now, when I mark as read and move a message to a folder. Say Paid" or "Cars", the message is no longer visible or selectable. I have read/unread/folder size turned on under my Inbox. So I know the missing messages are there in the folder but I cannot see them or select them. Some of the folders contents have completely disappeared. This a disaster for me. Has just started happening but was working fine before this TB update. Never happened before.

I will appreciate someones kind help.

I'm trying to remove Firefox from a laptop. When I start the uninstall process it reaches the progress bar that says Unisntalling Firefox... and hangs there. 30 minutes and no discernable change.

All the buttons on the dialog are disabled and the only way to get out of it is to restart the computer.

After escaping from the blank screen it says it could not access server. But my credentials are copied from my gmail login that works fine. And I have checked the configuration with other gmail accounts that are running in Thunderbird and they are the same. So why am I getting a blank screen? How do I get my google permissions authorization form to show up?

This procedure now fails to work for a gmail account that I have put into Thunderbird successfully in the past.

I went to a lot of trouble to get all my email accounts into Thunderbird. I really don't want it to fail me now.

When I am supposed to get a google sign-in from Thunderbird, all I get is a blank white window on my computer. I another computer it works. I have tried a lot of settings and cleared a lot of passwords and cookies. Nothing I have found after hours of trying has helped.

I hope there is something easy I have overlooked.

Whenever I try to login my fresh browser, Firefox says "Account Disconnected" as soon as I sign in and sync begins. I have tried refreshing Firefox, clearing cache etc, deleting Mozilla folders from local and roaming, but issue is still the same. Email hidden for privacy reasons
