1. In the past there was a restriction on the suggested number for "network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server". Is that still the case?

2. Does prefs.js contain all the altered about:config settings? Can I safely transfer "prefs.js" to other profiles in attempt to enable all those settings changes, instead of changing them manually, one by one.

I'm unsure about this setting. I don't want a tab to reload when it's switched to.

It seems to indicate that something will be reloaded regardless of what I choose. I assume that's probably not the case.

Please confirm.

I can't stay on this site for very long at all, and do my best to write out what I need as quickly as possible then leave. I would never contribute to answering any questions other then my own because how bright it is will eventually cause me pain.

In my view, it represents an amateurish view on website design and likely has an impact of skewing the regular user base to people that don't mind it.

After masking them with my duck duck go service, I can't find the link to verify my emails. Where can I see any return responses using my mask email?

Microsoft is changing the authentication method for outlook mail to OAuth2. I follow the guide provided to update Thunderbird, but my version of the program does not have OAuth2 as an option. My outgoing server is smtp-mail.outlook.com, but OAuth2 is not an option in the dropdown for authentication method.

I have received an email from Microsoft informing me of changes to its authentification procedure. As from Sept, to continue using Thunderbird to access my outlook/hotmail accounts, I have to change the authentification method to Oauth2. The reasons and changes required are detailed here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202 I have 2 problems. 1. imap-mail.outlook.com - I can change my authentification method to Oauth2. However, when I then try to access my mail via TB, I get an error stating that the server imap-mail.outlook.com does not support the authentification method! (see image) 2. Outgoing Server SMTP There is no Oauth2 option available to choose!

Can anyone help? I am using the most up to date version of Thunderbird 115.12.2 (64-bit).

Hello, recently I've been having issues where if misclick anywhere on the title bar (even in the small space between bookmarks) firefox will minimize/restore when I didn't want it too. How do I disable this in about:config?

A new problem since July 1, 2024 Thunderbird keeps crashing on start-up when checking for new mail. HELP!! Crash ID: bp-e8be7291-7fe9-41c0-bd21-45d860240702

Error message:

"Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <ec2-54-219-72-248.us-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com[54.219.72.248]>: Client host rejected: NO THANKS. Please check the message recipient "patrick.gilroy@harmonydesigninc.com" and try again"

Occurs regardless of recipient, whether replying to an incoming email, or composing a new email.

Not always, but frequently when I delete an email from an inbox, the other emails are hidden for awhile. This occurs whether I am pressing Del while the email is visible, or pressing Del with the email selected in the Inbox. If, however, I immediately open another folder and then re-open the inbox, all emails are instantly visible. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a "feature"?  ;-) Regards, Dave

Why won't Thunderbird send emails when connected to NordVPN? I have spoken to Spectrum and NordVPN and both of them have suggested that Thunderbird is the issue. I have confirmed that my SMTP settings are correct. I can send and receive from the Web client's site. I have turned off NordVPN and the sending process works as expected. However when I turn NordVPN back on, my outgoing emails are blocked.

Changed Gmail.com password and now Thunderbird will not login even with the new verified password. I have tried all recommendations on the internet and nothing works.

I can edit my short cuts. One I have added the Name, and the URl, I also have the option to add a custom picture to the square icon for the shortcut. It seems obvious to want, as I do, to "drag and drop" a photo of my choice from my personal collection. For example, when there are multiple shortcuts for the email of each person in the family, their individual photo is a great identifier. As things are now it seems I can only add another URL. I tried to add the URL from a family members Facebook page but it would not accept the link. Can some techno whizzz out there not make "drag and drop" an option? It would be REALLY useful for us all to have the photo of our choice, either a family person where appropriate, or a pet or whatever, or a friend. Thanks. Drag and DRop seems such such a common process now I cant think it would be difficult. Well....I wouldn't know where to start of course, but thats why this is a Help forum! How can I resolve issues with video streams from Facebook Workplace?

This issue doesn't happen in Chrome. When I stream video in Facebook Workplace, the video stops frequently and becomes poor quality at times. I have recommended performance settings enabled, using hardware acceleration.

Is there a way to stop initial pop ups when opening FireFox? They slow productivity! I don't need to be reminded that I have new emails when I am already in Thunderbird.

Can't get out of offline mode. It happen once previous but an icon was available and got back on. Now going to settings and nothing works. Surprisingly found nothing with Google nor Mozilla support. No email; big problem.

The offline option does not give off or on but option that I don't understand.

The file at the top shows offline and there doesn't seem a way to change (no check mark).

The moderator, 10 years ago, said uncheck on life or two blue line. No such think.

Computer is connected to internet. Shut down MAC and restarted. Still OFFLINE. I must be online but cannot download my messages.

I'm trying to troubleshoot a connection error and cannot find anything about 'SSL_ERROR_INSUFFICIENT_SECURITY_ALERT'? What is this trying to tell me exactly? Is there documentation or a debugging switch to elaborate this error, or is it really necessary to dig into the source code to find out about this? Even mozilla search and google comes up empty.

I'm running 115.12.0esr on Linux. I have another Linux system running 115.7.0esr that has no problem connecting to the same URL.
