Hello. How do I do if I want Firefox to open a new window every time I click on the icon? I tried to insert the command "-new-window URL", which used to work before but it doesn´t anymore. Is there anybody out there who knows something about this?

All other modern browsers have autofill as standard for names, addresses, phone numbers and emails.

I am in the UK and just started using Firefox and really love it but the problem is is that there's no way to turn on autofill.

Looking into it, the only way is to change your language to US and then the option will come up. However, it doesn't then work as it won't let you enter UK formatted addresses or phone numbers.

Why is such a basic feature missing from the UK version and does anyone know when it will release to the UK?

I have a new desktop. I checked the box in Settings to "Always ask you where to save files." However, it's still dumping files in Downloads without asking.

Why, and how do we correct that?

I have disabled sponsored shortcuts in Firefox settings, and did this when I first set up my browser.

Today when launching my browser the first link in my shortcuts was to @Google which I specifically do not use. I do not use google search. I do not want google search. I do not want cookies or content from google.

Why was this sponsored shortcut pushed to my browser after I disabled sponsored shortcuts?

We require disabling password sync at org-level by deploying changes in registry or Group Policy. Currently we do not see any option to disable password sync except at browser level which leaves the user in control. However as IT and security admins, we would like to implement this as a global policy so corporate portal passwords are not synced to unmanaged devices. Please suggest a solution.

There one thing that currently a joke and useless, themes. Currently Firefox themes are just a single image and that it. I don't use it because I want more then a single image. There one web browser that does themes better then Firefox. SeaMonkey, that also own by Mozilla, has a way better themes then Firefox. This option should be added to Firefox to make Firefox better then it is. SeaMonkey has the best themes of all the web browser including Edge and Chrome. These themes are useless that are available in Firefox, Edge, and Chrome are a joke. The themes in SeaMonkey are the best. Besides the image in themes and the color of the toolbar, black or white only, nothing changes.

hi, i have a problem with "open previous page and tabs" because that don't work, i have a macbook and when i close firefox and reopen it, i lose every tabs previously open, how can i fix the problem ?

HI, When watching twitch for e.g. and i open a new tab to say search google after a minute or so the audio stops in twitch, how can i make it so the audio/video keeps playing when im open a new tab. Thanks

I need help with print. type settings on Firefox. When I print labels, the orientation is not right, and there are a couple of other things not working properly with printing. I have the Dutch and English dictionary installed and both show up in the context menu. But at random, only the Dutch dictionary is checked and the English one not. The Spellchecker then only uses the Dutch and I have to manually enable English again. This is really at random. For example on YouTube: I write a comment and English is checked. But another time on YouTube, English suddenly is not checked and have to enable it again in the context menu. So not a huge deal but still remarkable.

I have the "Always ask you where to save files" check box checked in settings, but it still just automatically saves everything to my downloads folder and I keep having to then cut and paste the file where I want it. I also have "Ask whether to open or save files" checked. Any idea how to fix this, so it will ask me where to save downloads?

Hi, Could you add a simple feature for autoscrolling pdf files in the built-in viewer ? It would be a great help when playing sheet music, etc.

Just: start/stop (with hotkeys) and scroll speed setting. It exists for chrome: Tab Scroller - Guitar Tab Auto Scroll, but I would prefer to use firefox of course.

 An update or two (maybe more?) ago, the plus sign with which we add shortcuts to the Firefox browser home page/new tab page disappeared, so now we can no longer add shortcuts on the home page/new tab page.  Please help.  I am running Firefox Version 129.0.2 (64-bit) on a Windows 11 Pro 64-bit if that makes any difference.  Thanks.

Hi Why is it everytime I download something it has to open in the Firefox browser to view? And why is this happening when I scan to my computer? I want things saved to my computer, like documents and scanned information?

Long ago I developed muscle memory to type in the main part of a website domain and complete it with Ctrl-Enter in the address bar.

That supposedly adds the www. prefix at the beginning and .com at the end.

Works great except that it seems to append "http:// to the beginning. That often results in a warning that I'm trying to go to an insecure domain.

How can I modify this behavior to append "httpS://" to the beginning to avoid all of these warnings?

I mistakenly dragged a text from a search box and dropped it on my browser page. If this text is a url (Ex: www.some_site.com), Firefox will navigate to that page. How do I prevent Firefox from opening dropped links on pages?
