Hey all, Before I go to far, here... Firefox version 127.0.2 (64-bit) Windows 10 Version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 Extensions - Malwarebytes browser guard.

What I've done: Cleared cache, history, etc. etc. ran multiple system scans restart app restart windows

So how do I keep Firefox from opening pop-up for about:config? That's right, There are pop ups that firefox allow to open new tabs, and its the about:config page.

Also, every time I start typing out google in the address bar auto suggest fills in googleleadservices or something like that. I already went through all the same steps above and more. I originally thought it was just opening one of the last pages I went to, but if I've "cleared" everything as per the way firefox has it set up, why would it have any history of what the last page was?

Firefox stopped launching from the desktop. After reinstalling the new 127 both once with the 64bit, windows 10, English. The with the 32 bit version as well with the same configurations.

The problem is that the browser will not launch from the install finish window or the short cut icon. I can start Firefox from the Search window > Firefox > run as administrator. Firefox will start up but will not google search and the settings button will not function. I have installed Google Chrome and am sending this message through them. I don't want to use Google for all the reason for privacy that you already know. HOW can I get Firefox back ? Thank you for any and all help you can offer. My Best Regards, Doc'

Recently I've notice a large amount of advertisements popping in most of the sites I visit on the Internet. This is particularly frustrating for sites where I pay to be a member, like the Ney York Times. I'm not sure there is any function in Foxfire to help me with this problem, but if there is I'd like to know about it and how to use it. Thank you.

Hello! A tech rebooted my computer and all files were saved, but this person failed to do a backup of my browsers. I don't think I was logged in to any session in Firefox, but my bookmarks and passwords were saved.

Is there any way I can recover that information? I already tried and there seems to be no other sessions than the current one saved.

Hi all, I need to solve a problem that is a bit annoying. I am on ubuntu 22.04 and using SNAP Firefox 127.0 (64-bit).

When I am prompted to select a file, for example to upload an image, the file picker is shown. However the thumbnails are so small(and right now I only see the image name) that I cannot see what's the content of the image. I managed to show a preview on the right of the single selected image by modifying an option in about:config. However it is still a pain to find the image I am searching for when I have a long list of images. Is there any way to enable zoom on the list of thumbnails so that I can preview the contents of the images? I don't understand why there is no option to customize the display of the file list. In the attached image I show how it looks right now.

I posted this the other day and have had no reply or I maybe cannot find the thread. Please help.

I cannot send messages from Thunderbird since it was last updated on my pc. Version 115.12.2 (32 bit). I have checked the server settings and they have not changed in years. I have been in touch with Virgin Media, my service provider, and I can send emails when logged on to my account and not involving Thunderbird. I can also send emails from my mobile phone using Gmail. The issue would seem to be with Thunderbird and this recent update. Please point me in the right direction, bearing in mind I am not particularly computer literate.

I am using an older MacBook Pro running Mojave 10.14.6, for which the latest Firefox is 115.12.0ser (64-bit). It has always been working like a champ, but a few weeks ago, individual YouTube video pages look very odd. Usually the related recommended videos are along the right edge in one row, and below the default video window is the title, description, and then the comments.

The problem I have is that these two components became transposed, and if the video is displayed as full screen, the page can be pushed upwards to show the title etc got squashed below the video window, with the recommended videos still in a grid below it. I hope the included pictures are sufficient to illustrate the issue.

Another computer, an iMac running El Capitan 10.11.6, and Firefox 78.15.0ser owned by a family member, does not show this odd phenomenon. I must say I am quite intrigued by this, and would greatly appreciate any help my fellow members can offer.

After Thunderbird update 115.12.2(20240621154414) was installed on my PC on the 25/6/2024 I am unable to receive emails. I continue to get an error message on account noeljc@optusnet.com.au (IMAP)

   Connection to server mail.optusnet.com.au timed out.

or Failed to connect to server mail.optusnet.com.au. I have looked thru all the forums and tried various solutions without success including extending the setting for mailnews.tcptimeout to 3000. I have checked and validated my account server settings are as recommended by my ISP(Optus) are correct for authenticated emails. I even turned off my Norton VPN completely to no avail even though I use Split tunnelling to allow Thunderbird thru it as an exclusion. It appears to me there maybe a bug in the last Thunderbird update causing this. I have had this issue in the past at various times intermittently but it has always seemed to correct itself. I have been in contact with my ISP(Optus) regarding this error and all they could say was to logon to email server via webmail and did not offer any other solution. It appears there is a communication breakdown between my PC and the Email server somewhere. As I stated this only happened after the last Thunderbird update on my PC on 25/6 as it was working up until 24/6. I also have another optus email account for my wife on Thunderbird which has the same error messages. Could the Mozilla gurus please advise what to do.

I am unable to read or reply to emails. And when I close the email it shows it as still unread. I have tech support with Best Buy Geek Squad. They were unable to help, but said there was a glitch with the email program. Also is there a phone # I can call. I work from home and my email is my lifeline. Please help!

Hi! I am having issues with loosing tabs in private browsing mode. In the past I could have dozens of tabs open in private browsing mode for months at a time, but it seems like after the new update as soon as I leave Firefox all of my open private browsing mode my tabs disappear.

Is this an intentional new feature? Is there a way to turn it off? I would like to keep my private browsing mode tabs open after I leave the Firefox browsing app (I am not exiting or deleting any tabs or the app when I leave).

I've had thunderbird running on my desktop for many years. I tried setting it up identically on my android and it doesn't work. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong as I run the server side as well. How do you get thunderbird to accept no username or password for the outbound server? I'm using postfix and it only accepts outbound email from my ip address.

I have been dealing with problems with Firefox and YouTube for a long time. Every time I open a YouTube video in a new tab it would always give me this grey screen that goes away after a long time waiting.

I have tried:

• Refreshing Firefox
• Reinstalling Firefox
• Troubleshoot Mode, which the problem persist in troubleshoot mode so its not an addon
• Tried creating a new profile
• User-Agent Switcher which doesn't work all the time.

I want to avoid going chromium-based browsers but this is making me consider.
