Flash-based videos and sound do not play correctly

選擇文章適合的平台:

This article addresses an issue with media players that use the Flash plugin. These media players are used on a variety of sites such as YouTube, Google Video and Veoh. The symptoms are some of the following:

  • The video loads but does not play
  • The audio does not play but the video plays
  • Video and/or audio stops after a few seconds of playing
  • Player is stuck on a loading screen/animation

Update Flash

This problem is fixed in version 10 of the Adobe Flash Player plugin. To get the latest version of Flash, download it from the Adobe website.

Linux:

Install libflashsupport

For the Linux distros using the PulseAudio soundserver (like Ubuntu Hardy Heron and following versions), the Firefox Flash plugin doesn't work properly and Flash support can be enabled by installing the package libflashsupport with the package manager of your linux distribution (Synaptic, Adept, Yum, etc.)

Other troubleshooting

Certain settings and extensions can also prevent Flash objects from working properly, see these suggestions for more possible fixes.
