On my home PC I have recently run some spyware programs, deleted cache, etc. Now when the home page loads, or I click the "home" icon set on internet options to go to www.yahoo.com, I get yahoo in a linear format along the left margin — not a full page format, and the address always reverts to www.m.yahoo.com which, I think, is a format for mobile phones. How do I reconfigure this error that seemingly came from nowhere?

I have the same problem and I honestly have no idea have you tried taking it off your homepage setting?

I too have this problem and am waiting for a solution. In the meantime, I switched to google as my homepage.

Internet Options is for IE.
Tools > Options -> Startup - Homepage = that's where the Firefox Homepage is set

To the-edmeister: I guess i wasn't very clear. I started with exactly what you said to do, going to tools - options - startup - homepage, and entering www.yahoo.com. Yet, having done that, I still get www.m.yahoo.com when selecting home page. It's a mystery where the "m" comes from.

I have a solution.
Tools > Options >Privacy > Show Cookies
Search for Yahoo.com and delete that cookie.

from original poster: correction; actually the tools - options - homepage setting is http://www.yahoo.com. The output is http://m.www.yahoo.com.

Thank you Neil!! Deleting my Yahoo cookies fixed the problem.

thank you Neil, your advice worked wonder.

Because I have my computer remembers some passwords for some useful sites that I don't want to retype (cuz i won't remember), All I need to do to fix this problem is go to Tools ------>Option------>Privacy (tab) ------>Remove individual cookies (a link)--------> then choose www.yahoo.com or anything with yahoo.com/net and DELETE IT by pressing on the "Remove Cookies" and NOT the "Remove All Cookies".

I set my homepage to http://www.yahoo.com./?rs=1
Rolled me right back to the normal view!
