The Live Chat schedule during release day seemed to work really well - the 2-hour shifts made it a lot easier to anchor shifts, and the forced breaks gave people a chance to wind down and help elsewhere on SUMO after live chat closed. Since this revised schedule worked well last week, I'm trying out some changes to the permanent live chat hours.
The main change I am making is keeping each shift (except for Friday) 2 hours or less, as well as adjusting the Monday/Wednesday shift to avoid overlapping the Monday SUMO meeting. Let me know how well these hours work for everyone - the idea is to have the times scheduled so that everyone can help during at least some shifts each week, as obviously not every shift is expected to work for everyone. We can change the shifts further if there is a demand for other times.
The new hours are:
Monday and Wednesday:
11am to 1pm PDT(was 9am-10am)
2pm to 4pm PDT (was 2pm-5pm)
Tuesday and Thursday: (unchanged)
2pm to 4pm PDT
8pm to 9pm PDT
Friday: (unchanged)
10am to 1pm PDT (GMT -7)
