man i agree totaly. Firefox three is really running very slow, wont run Java, some vids and will not even access some HTML pages. In fact Ive had to revert to IE as my main browset as its just...well...works.
I'd also like to know where I can get Firefox 2.

I'm using FF3 and every time I click on a bookmark, I get about a 20 second delay before I can do anything. This is making me crazy.

Screw Firefox! I've been a loyal user for years and now they put out this piece of crap 3.0. I'll just start using IE.
The new Firefox is horrible, am I the only one who has trouble with the download window? When I try to open something in it firefox freezes.
Firefox 3 - I am so angry! Version 2 worked perfectly. Now Firefox is nearly every time I surf crashing and sometimes it is impossible to restart. It really sucks!
Totally agree - it's total cack. I can't even open it or start it in safe mode. Arsed about with firewall etctetc but nuttin' doing. I'm not interested in getting complicated procedures on how to load plugins etc from well meaning users. I just want a product that works. I should have learned from the upload from Creative that bricked my MP3 jukebox.
I installed it as an update from FF2. FF2 worked fine, FF3 slows down everything; the workstation, the LAN, the servers.
We have to install all profile in our network. Beside the "usual" problems mentioned here we have a space problem. Because of the download of the huge urlclassifier3.sqlite file, which is bigger than 50 MB, the whole network performance goes down. And if you have 200 users, you perhaps have an idea what I'm talking about.
It seems there is no way to prevent the download of that anti-phishing-database file that works fine. I tried several things with the user.js.
I'm VERY unhappy with FF3. Why do they implant sql-database files for the simpliest things? A bookmark.html file was totally ok. These sql-databases are bigger and need performance when using them.
I will wait for my last changes in the user.js files, but I think, I will reinstall FF2 again.
FF3 crashed the first few times and i cannot post to blogs as the character encoding is messed up. also, i went to the link to obtain a previous version of firefox, to no avail.

Firefox 3 crashes all the time and won't restart. It has crashed on two different computers of mine. Google downloads still has Firefox 2 on its website.
It hasn't crashed with me (yet) on XP, it plays youtube fine, it's faster than FF2 (at the moment) and so far it has loaded every page I fed it. Sounds good you would say. Point is, I'm not convinced it will stay this way. Reading all of your experiences I'm just waiting for it to screw up.
Well, it has. It can't handle WMP embedded content. Not even with the Port25 plugin installed. And I actually use the embedded player on a number of sites, amongst which my own!
FF2 had it's problems with me, as well though. It was extremely slow, after being open for about half an hour it wouldn't play embedded mp3's, youtube clips, or much of anything really and downloading stuff froze FF2 for at least a minute, usually longer.
So is it a choice between two evils now? I still prefer FF to IE, but I don't understand why compatibility has not been carried over from version 2 to version 3. Why make a worse product and put that on the market as an upgrade?
Firefox 3 is crap. My apple is now running awful with" smartbizsearch" cutting in everytime i do a google search. Very pissed. Have deleted and replaced program three times. I have reverted to IE and that really does suck on a mac.

Hey if, any Mozilla programmers are reading this, and I hope they are, please do something about it!!! We truely totally loved your original product! What went wrong this time?? Untill you give us a product that is simple (I.e. none of this 'customisable' bullshit) we will use something else! I mean, for example, compare portal sites to Google...which is more populare?
