Ubuntu 10.04: I downloaded Arial. I changed Ubuntu and Firefox to show arial. This works in all applications and in Firefox. In System>Preferences>Appearance I changed the "Rendering" from "Subpixel smoothing (LCDs)" to "Monochrome". With that I get a very clear typeface in Ubuntu, in all applications and in Firefox in the titlebar, but not in Firefox in the addressbar, the tabtitles, the menu and the content of the page. As comparison: In Ubuntu 8.04 everything works.
