Firefox hangs when trying to use any dropdown or right-click menu. Safe-mode does not help, it happens there too. I use the standard theme.

Using Firefox 3.6.6; Ubuntu 10.04 64bit.

Have tried running FF from command line to see if there were any errors showing up there, nothing.

Since you are using the Ubuntu brand of Firefox, maybe you should ask at the Ubuntu forum for assistance. Maybe that issue is know there.

I have the same problem, although under openSUSE 11.2. By the way, Thunderbird show exactly the same behaviour. Other GTK apps run fine. This happens since 2010-07-20. Upgrading to the latest and greatest versions did not help.

I deactived IPv6 in my network device configuration. Now Firefox and Thunderbird work fine again.
