solved why the realplayer browser record plugin not working in firefox 3.5.4?

I have another kind of problem with Firefox

Description

why the realplayer browser record plugin is not working again? it work before in 3.5.3 version.
hope firefox can fix it, i really need it.

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

after install firefox update (3.5.4)

Extensions installed

Realplayer browser record plugin 1.0

Firefox version

3.5.4

Operating system

Windows Vista

User Agent

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 Ant.com Toolbar 1.4 Firefox/3.5.4 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

Same here. I also wish to know. I wonder if one can downgrade to Firefox 3.5.3.

It looks a lot of Firefox users don't like this (the updated Firefox 3.5.4 no longer supports the RealPlayer browser record plugin). Yeah I would like to switch back to Firefox 3.5.3. No more AUTOMATIC updates.

I'm having the same problem, this is very inconvenient and I hope something is done that can fix this. Is there any way to turn automatic updates off on Firefox?

Please go to the Real website and inquire as to when an updated plugin will be issued. Enough complaints should help move things along quicker.

Seems that the staff in the Real forums are suggesting going the uninstall/reinstall route. I really didn't want to do that at this point but may have no choice.

For me uninstalling and reinstalling RealPlayer SP fixed the Download & Record Plugin problem with Firefox 3.5.3 a few months ago, but not now with Firefox 3.5.4

Oddly, this RealPlayer plugin problem also occurs in IE 8.00

However on my laptop while the RealPlayer plugin doesn't work in Firefox 3.5.4, it functions normally in IE. On my wife's desktop machine Real Download from Flash works on both Firefox (at 3.5.3) and IE .
