Issue

I have another kind of problem with Firefox

Description

Every time Add-ons Window is opened I receive alert:
An error occurred during a connection to services.addons.mozilla.org:443.
SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
(Error code: ssl_error_rx_record_too_long)

In "Get Add-ons" I get "Firefox couldn't retrieve add-ons".

I have the same problem, it started when I installed Windows 7.

Running FF 3.5.5 with AdBlock Plus with Element Hider and Canadian Dictionary Ad-ons.

Either the site or the add-ons manager has an error. I suppose that it is problem with the site. It depends neither on OS nor on Firefox version.

Well, it's just a nuisance for me, so I don't look for solution. If you need more help, search somewhere else; so far I have seen no evidence that developers of Firefox or its website read the thread.

I hope it resolves with Firefox 3.6?

Try changing your DNS servers to openDNS

Forgot to add, if the DNS solution works and you don't want to change your DNS servers, you can add this line to windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts

63.245.209.115 services.addons.mozilla.org
