I have another kind of problem with Firefox
Downloaded and installed 3.5.5 today. After this, Firefox will no longer launch. I am running latest version of XP.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you about that, maybe after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox. I am using Zone Alarm Security Suite version 9.1.008.000, which is the latest version. I am not a real techie, but I can find no way to do what you suggest in your response, so I am still at a standstill.

I checked out everything in the above post and all is set correctly. I can't figure out what is wrong. When I launch AIM, however, Firefox does launch and goes to AIM's home page. Strange.
I checked with Zone Alarm and they said to disable the Zone Alarm Tool bar Add-on in FireFox. I did and that fixed all problems. Thanks for your inputs. Paul
