Everytime I visit www.google.com with Firefox 4 RC1 the browser stops responding and have to stop the application with windows task mannager.

This doesn't happen with other search engines.

Thanks

McAffe Site Advisor extension installed? If so, disable it.

Did you really use Firefox 2.0.0.12 to post here? Or is your UserAgent seriously messed up?

I got the same issue. However, disabling McAfee Site Advisor doesn't solve the problem for me.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I also had this problem but i have now resolved it, Before i resolved my problem, Google homepage was working for me but the problem started when i started searching and the results came up, thats when FireFox 4 began to crash and not respond.

My problem was Bullguard Safe Browsing Toolbar I disabled it and Google now works fine, So if anyone that is having problem with Firefox 4, Disable Bullguard safe browsing toolbar or any other Virus safe browsing toolbar

I had same problem using the released version of Firefox 4. Disabling Bullguard Safe Browsing Toolbar resolved the problem.
