I forgot my Password for Mozilla account and I can't sign in to MDN Plus

If you forgot your Mozilla account password, reset your password and then sign in to MDN Plus with your new password.

Note: You may lose some of your synced browsing information if you reset your password without recovery keys. We will be able to recover your payment information but not your browsing information, collections, and logins.

Reset your Mozilla account from a desktop or laptop computer

Any data you have on the server will be erased when you reset your password (unless you use recovery keys). Your other devices will stop synchronizing unless you update them with the new password.
  1. Click on the menu button Fx89menuButton to open the menu panel.
  2. Click on Sign In next to Sync and save data.
  3. On the Sign in page, type your Mozilla account email and click Continue.
  4. Click Forgot password?
  5. You will be asked to enter the email address associated with your Mozilla account. Firefox will send you a reset email.
  6. Follow the instructions received in your email to change your password.
  7. After signing in with your new password, remember to update your password on each of your synced devices.
  8. Once you've changed your password, sign in to MDN Plus with your new password.

Reset your Mozilla account from an Android device

  1. Open the Firefox app.
  2. Tap the menu button.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Turn on Sync.
  5. The options Ready to Scan and Use email Instead will appear. Select Use email Instead to be taken to the Sign in page.
  6. Type your Mozilla account email and tap Continue.
  7. When you're asked to type your password, tap on Forgot password?
  8. Enter the email address associated with your Mozilla account.
  9. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
  10. Once you've changed your password, sign in to MDN Plus with your new password.

Reset your Mozilla account from an iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Firefox app.

  2. At the bottom of the screen, tap the menu button (the menu will be at the top right if you're using an iPad):

  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Sign in to Sync.
  5. The options Ready to Scan and Use email Instead will appear. Select Use email Instead to be taken to the Sign in page.
  6. Type your Mozilla account email and tap Continue.
  7. When you're asked to type your password, tap on Forgot password?
  8. Enter the email address associated with your Mozilla account.
  9. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password.
  10. Once you've changed your password, sign in to MDN Plus with your new password.
