Creating content blocks

Actions

On support.mozilla.com, we make use a tikiwiki feature called "Dynamic Content", which allows us to create blocks of content, that can be inserted into multiple pages. For instance, instead of rewriting instructions on how to start Firefox in Safe Mode, you can put {content label=safemode}, which will insert those pre-written instructions. For more information, see our Dynamic Content page.

  • Content blocks can be assigned to a language.
  • You need to have Approver permissions to create and edit content blocks.

To create a content block, go to the Dynamic Content system panel.

  1. Under "Create or edit content block" enter the description, content label, and language of your content block.

  2. Click Save.
  3. You should see the new content block in the list below "Available content blocks". In the Action box of the content your new content block, click "Program".

  4. The "Program dynamic content for block:" page should appear. In the Content box, enter the tikiwiki code you would like to be inserted, when that content label is used.

  5. Click Save.

You're done!
