Hi, I posted this question about 3 upgrades ago. I run Win7_64 (Yes I know it's outdated!) with dual monitors. After closing FF I was always left with a partial FF screen window open on the left monitor. It could only be cleared with a screen refresh, or dragging another app. screen over the top. I checked the obvious like GFX drivers (which had never changed), FF .exe processes seem to have terminated and I confirmed no other app did this (even Chrome). I suspected it was a FF shutdown problem? I asked the question here but didn't get a solution until now.

I've now installed the latest update 115.11.Oesr (64 bit) and have not seen the same problem for a week. If it stays that way, thanks to the FF team for fixing this annoying problem.

I have a new email in outlook account. I have created a new identity in thunderbird for this. It is receiving emails but will not send them. I have made an app password in Microsoft but still can’t get it to work. Could someone help with this please Stephen

Thunderbird doesn't consistently show messages for "digest" mailing-list emails. E.g. for a subscription to "users-digest@activemq.apache.org".

Looking at an individual mail, e.g. 57170, it also does not show the contents. Using Ctrl-U to show the source then reveals the contents.

I'm on OSX Catalina 10.15.7 and all of a sudden I am unable to get any sound from my FireFox browser. I tried to play audio/video from 3 different websites - Youtube, 123greeting.com and Gettr and while the video played, there was no audio coming out on any of the sites. I have no problems watching and hearing videos on my other browsers - Brave and Vivildi so this issue is with Firefox on multiple websites. Please advise as to where to look for some switch to turn the sound back on my Firefox browser. Thanks

How do I get mail from the 'sent' folder on an old laptop into a new one? I have migrated old received mail and contacts to the new inbox no problem.

Using the export tool is no use - the Zip folder it creates titled 'Thunderbird_profile_backup' is corrupted and nothing can open it. I manually copied all files into an external drive and opened them in the new Thunderbird. That imported contacts but not mail from the old 'sent' folder. How do I get all those old sent mails out of the old device?

I can not get emails anymore. They just suddenly stopped coming in. I can go to my ISP’s website and see my emails but can not get on Thunderbird. I suppose there is a problem with my account configuration but I don’t know what. Any idea what settings to check?

I am trying to login to my Mozilla account so that I can backup my data and move it onto a new computer. However, even though Sync is activated, I cannot find my Mozilla Firefox password anywhere and am unsure of what it is. Is there anyway that someone who works at Mozilla can give me access to my password?

I am happy to verify my identity and prove that this is indeed my account, but I am not sure of how to go about doing so. I really need access to all of my data, and would be highly thankful for any assistance regarding this matter.

As per subject. When i click a Mailto link in a webpage, eMClient opens OK, but message window does not. Seems to be a Firefox problem because it works fine in Chrome. I've checked the Firefox and Windows (10) settings; all seems as it should be. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I often use Ctrl+Number to jump to a fixed tab, whereas on Linux the shortcut is Alt+Number, which causes some inconveniences. Is it possible to make Firefox use Ctrl+Number to switch tabs on Linux?

After years of operating satisfactorily now when try to get new messages I am frequently told that there are several new messages but nothing appears in my inbox. I have checked the emails on the server but they match what is in my inbox. Nothing has gone missing and I do not have a 'junk' folder. I have tried clearing the cache but it did not work. Could this be a fault with the latest update to Thunderbird? This is nothing more sinister than highly irritating

The first time i enter fullscreen for the on the current monitor, the window is not filled completely. It fixes itself if i exit fullscreen and enter it again.

I did not observe this behaviour in 124.0

The fix mentioned in that thread is applied for me.

It does not fix it.

My internet has 750mb of bandwidth. Updated 64bit Firefox can only provide 320mb. I installed Chrome and the internet went to 800mb. What could be slowing down internet speed in Firefox? I restored Firefox, restarting everything. I did the same with Windows 10. I restored it to an earlier date. It didn't improve anything. What to do ?

Hi Really need some help please.

Running TB latest version 115.11.0 on Win 10. Multiple gmail and other accounts, both POP and IMAP.

Following a catastrophic loss of accounts and messages, I made a fresh TB install then I restored from a previously saved profile from a month ago.

Accounts and folders with messages all now appear.

With one POP gmail account, the inbox and sent folders are stuck at last month's position. I expected the last month's messages to be downloaded as soon as I log into TB, but I'm not able to Get Messages.

My TB log in to collect gmail messages is rejected with this message - The STAT command did not succeed. Error getting message number and sizes. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: [AUTH] Invalid credentials.

I have checked the account settings server address, and password is set to 0Auth2.

I have changed the gmail password on the gmail website (browser is Firefox) - which is accessed without problem, but only incoming mails are visible, my outgoing mails should be on my PC.

Every time I get the "enter new password" dialog I enter the password that gets me into gmail's on-line website - it is rejected with the STAT message.

I cannot send or receive gmail messages through TB - how can I force gmail to let TB access my emails?

Quite often recently, Thunderbird just stops pulling in emails.

It seems that I need to upgrade but find out by chance by looking under About under Help. Should there not be some other prompt as it is very confusing and some may have no idea what is happening?
