Visited links used to hilight in purple, and they still do, but FF forgets this after a few minutes and they go blue again

Thanks for the suggestions. The problem only appeared after I upgraded to FF 4. The links hilight OK but later on the status of the link is often lost and they go blue again.

Did you check the date and time on the computer?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

i have found a fix for this very annoying problem!! i downloaded opera and the problem is fixed
