Extremely High _900 MB to 1656 MB+_ Memory Usage in Firefox 4 Beta 8

As the title says, I'm having extremely high memory usage/leakage issue in Firefox 4 Beta 8. The OS is Windows 7 64bit. Within 15/20 minutes of web surfing and Firefox memory usage is over 900 MBs and it only keeps going up & up.

Now I can't use Leak Monitor by L. David Baron as it's not compatible with Firefox 4. As Firefox Sync 1.6.1 is not compatible with Firefox 4 Beta 9, I can't/don't want to upgrade to Beta 9.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You don't need the Firefox Sync extension in Firefox 4.0b9, the same features are built in.

many thanks for the reply.

After reading your post I did upgrade to Firefox 4 Beta 9 and the memory usage gone down substantially but it's still around 200 MB to 370 MBs... even with just one tab opened.

Though much better than 1656 MB  :)
