It acts like a popup window, opening up a new window. I see no way to enter it into a blocking site so that it is not permitted to access my computer. Please help me to block it to it is not irritating my FireFox computer experience.

This is a formal official complaint against this website.

Thanks

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

There are other things that need attention:

  • Firefox/3.6.12 NET_mmhpset

You have or had an extension installed (NET_mmhpset) that has changed the user agent from Firefox/3.6.13 to Firefox/3.6.12.

You can check the general.useragent prefs on the about:config page.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, just like you open a website.
Filter: general.useragent
If general.useragent prefs are bold (user set) then you can right-click that pref and choose Reset.

I eliminated this problem when I stopped using live weatherbug. Weatherbug uses their own browser and there is no way to stop popups when their browser is running. I deleted their software and now get my live weather from other sourses.
