I have been using Firefox for some time and I have never had a problem with it. Recently, some settings that are apparently beyond my control to change. Every time I open a new tab, it goes to:

http://search.yahoo.com/?fr=freezetype=W3i_NA,132,3_6,Tab%20Search,20100520,6693, 0,16,0

Here is some info. So far, I have deleted all of Yahoo's cookies, deleted all Yahoo licenses, and deleted everything Yahoo from my computer, yet this persistent little vampire of a website remains. I have looked through the settings on Firefox a hundred times, and it seems that there is no way to influence where a tab goes when you open it. It will probably fix the problem to reinstall Firefox, but if it happens again I want to kill it. I am a Google man folks. I have Google as my homepage, and I don't appreciate Yahoo sticking its ugly purple nose into my business every time I open a tab. Please help!

I have the issue with being directed to the 'My.Freeze" web search page.

If I use the Navigation window to search a topic it directs me to this page.

This is not something I added on and I cannot locate it in the add on section of FireFox.

I have tried to remove it through their Removal tool with no luck.

I have tried to remove it through the Add remove programs in XP with no luck.

I have uninstalled Firefox rebooted and reinstalled Firefox and it reappears

It is not present in the Google Chrome Browser, Safari Browser nor is it present in the Internet Explorer Browser.

How do I get rid of it?

I went to control panel and found only one entry for Freeze (Google web assistant)- removed it and now the Google tab comes on with the last few sites visited instead of the Yahoo. Yeah team
