TypeError avg_DTFox prefs has no properties

If you receive TypeError: avg_DTFox.prefs has no properties when Firefox starts after upgrading to Firefox 2.0.0.13, read these instructions on AVG's web site.

Firefox 2:

This issue is among many that can be solved by upgrading to Firefox 3.

This issue is fixed in the new AVG program version 8.0.89 that was released. Please proceed as follows:

  1. Open AVG User Interface
  2. Launch the update
  3. Select the program update

Once the AVG update is applied reported issue will be fixed.
