Mozilla is not planning any further security and stability updates for Firefox 2, and recommends that you upgrade to Firefox 3 as soon as possible. It's free, and your settings and bookmarks will be preserved.
Also, the Phishing Protection service will no longer be available for Firefox 2 users. Firefox 3 offers a free Phishing and Malware Protection service, which will continue to protect you from online scams and attacks.

If you are unable to view links to images (JPG, GIF, PNG, and more) because you receive the message The image cannot be displayed because it contains errors, follow the instructions below.
Although it is not the only cause, this problem can be caused by a previous version of the Skype extension.
You can solve the problem by downloading the latest version of Skype from Skype.com. Make sure that when you install Skype, you click on the Option button down to the left of the first installation wizard screen. There you will see the option to Upgrade Skype extension for Firefox. Please make sure that that option is indeed checked.
