Support Firefox Day

Support Firefox Day is a regular event hosted by the support community to discuss issues relevant to support, get feedback and work as a collective to make Firefox support even better. We'll have a live video stream from this page for the presentations and you can take part by asking questions and commenting in the chat room! There'll even be a toll-free number to call in (or Skype in) so you can have your voice heard. This month, we'll be having Support Firefox Day on Thursday, June 25th, 2009 at 10 AM PDT. We'll be focusing on the upcoming Firefox 3.5 browser as well as talking about the new screencast feature in Firefox support and helping out on the forums as a group. Sign up below to take part!

Planned schedule

All times are June 25th, in PDT
10:00 AM: Introduction to Firefox Support
10:15 AM: Firefox 3.5: Learn more about your new browser, what are the new features? If you know all the tips and tricks, it'll be even easier to help others with them.
11:00 AM:Screencast support in SUMO: We've introduced screencasts (movies demonstrating troubleshooting steps) to SUMO so we'll be having a session on how to make them and how to attach them to KB articles.
11:30 AM: Support resources: When you do support, you'll definitely see questions that you don't know how to answer immediately. These are the perfect opportunity to learn more about Firefox and expand your knowledge. In this session, we'll cover what to do in this case: where to go if you're stuck on a forum question or Livechat question to get help from our community and the web.
12:00 PM: Interactive forum support session: We have lots of unanswered forum threads and so we'll be having a forum-centered work session to help answer them. There will be lots of people in #sumo (our IRC chat room) and we'll keep it fun and interactive. Hopefully in two hours we can make a lot of headway in getting answers for our users!
