Mozilla is not planning any further security and stability updates for Firefox 2, and recommends that you upgrade to Firefox 3 as soon as possible. It's free, and your settings and bookmarks will be preserved.
Also, the Phishing Protection service will no longer be available for Firefox 2 users. Firefox 3 offers a free Phishing and Malware Protection service, which will continue to protect you from online scams and attacks.

Smart keywords are an easy way to search specific websites directly from the Firefox Location bar. Instead of going to the targeted website, finding the search function, and executing the search, you can search the website using Firefox, while you are at any website.
For example, suppose you search The Internet Movie Database (IMDB) on a regular basis. You can define a smart keyword to enable searching IMDB through your browser. To search IMDB for information on William Shatner, you would enter the following in the Firefox Location bar:
imdb William Shatner
To create a smart keyword:
- Visit the page on the target website that has the search field that you would normally use to search the site.
- Right-clickHold down the Ctrl key while you click on the search field. Select Add a Keyword for this Search....

- The Add Bookmark dialog appears. Enter an appropriate name for the bookmark (e.g. "The Internet Movie Database"). Create a keyword (e.g. "imdb").

- Select the bookmark folder to contain the smart keyword. Click OK.
To use the created smart bookmark, enter the keyword and the search string in the Location bar and then press EnterReturn.
