Help and Tutorials

Welcome to the first SUMO Day!

The first SUMO day was all about getting to know SUMO and how to use our site to help other Firefox users enjoy their favorite browser. Thanks to everyone who joined us and made it a successful event!

What SUMO Day is about

We felt it was important to set aside a specific time and day for our community to get together and help each other. SUMO Day is also a good time for new people to check us out as the rest of the community is around.

Get started

Here is a collection of important tasks we feel are a good way for you to get to know how the site works. Of course, you're always welcome to check out the contributor home page and jump right in on the stuff we do every day if you like!

Come to #sumo on Mozilla's IRC network to talk with other contributors right now and get help with the task you'd like to perform, or ask us questions, or just hang out and see what people are working on.

Helping with support articles

The Knowledge Base is the collection of articles that have been written for support. Like with any open collection, it can always use improvements.

Working directly with users

In addition to the Knowledge Base, SUMO consists of Forum and Live Chat support, where users can ask questions directly and have them answered by people like you.

Doing something else

Nothing in the Knowledge Base, Forum, or Live Chat that interests you? Don't give up! There is certainly something that suits you in the SUMO project.
