Mozilla Crash Reporter

Show content customized for:

The Mozilla Crash Reporter, also known as Breakpad, is a program that sends information to Firefox developers when Firefox crashes. Firefox developers use this information to make future versions of Firefox crash less frequently. The Mozilla Crash Report is available in Firefox 3; previous versions of Firefox used the Quality Feedback Agent for the same purpose.

The Mozilla Crash Reporter comes up because Firefox crashes; it does not cause Firefox to crash. For suggestions on how to prevent Firefox from crashing, see Firefox crashes.

Include the address of the page I was on: When checked, the information you send to Mozilla will include the web site you visited before the crash.

Mac OS:

Crash reports are stored in ~/.mozilla/firefox/Crash Reports/

The Crash Reports folder will contain two subfolders: pending and submitted. submitted contains reports that have been submitted, while pending contains reports that have not. Each file in these folders represents one report.
