This article applies to Netscape 9. If you are importing from Netscape 6 or Netscape 7, follow the instructions in Importing bookmarks and other data from Mozilla Application Suite.

Note: The folders that contain your Netscape and Firefox bookmarks and other profile data are hidden by default. You must enable viewing of hidden files and folders. Read
this article for more information.

Copying your Netscape profile data to Firefox
You can manually copy your Netscape profile data to Firefox, including bookmarks, cookies, and other settings. For Netscape profile locations, see the
Netscape release notes.
You can select the data you want to copy or you can copy the entire contents of your Netscape profile folder to your Firefox profile folder. This will replace any existing Firefox profile data with the Netscape data so you should make a backup copy of your Firefox profile as a precaution. You can also create a new Firefox profile and then copy the Netscape profile data to the new profile, if you want to keep your existing Firefox profile.
Read Managing profiles for help with creating a new Firefox profile. See Recovering important data from an old profile if you need more help copying the data or if you only want to copy selected information.
