Importing bookmarks from Google Chrome

To import bookmarks from Google Chrome, you need to first export your Chrome bookmarks to an HTML file, then import that HTML file to Firefox.

Export bookmarks from Chrome

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. Click on Chrome's tool icon to open the tools menu, and then select Bookmark Manager. Chrome's Bookmark Manager window will open.



  3. In Chrome's Bookmark Manager window, click on the Tools item, and then select Export bookmarks.... A Save As window will appear.



  4. In the Save As window, select a location on your computer to store the exported bookmarks file.

Import bookmarks into Firefox

  1. Open Firefox.
  2. At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Bookmarks menu and select Organize Bookmarks.... Firefox's Library window will open.
  3. In the Library window, click on Import and Backup, and then select Import HTML.... The Import Wizard window will appear.



  4. Select From an HTML file and then click Next. The Import bookmark file window will open.
  5. Navigate to the location where you saved Chrome's bookmark file, select it, and click Open.

Your Chrome bookmarks will be merged with your Firefox bookmarks in the Bookmarks Menu directory.
