How to turn off Java applets
By default, Firefox allows Java applets to be executed through your browser. However, you may decide that you do not wish for them to automatically launch in your browser.
To disable Java applets:
- At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click on the ToolsFirefoxEdit menu, and select Options...Preferences....
- Select the Content panel.
- Deselect Enable Java. Click Close the preferences window.
- Java applets are no longer permitted to launch in your Firefox browser.
