This article applies to Firefox 3.0 and later.
When you start typing in Firefox's Location bar, a drop-down list of pages from your history and bookmarks that match what you've typed will be shown. For more information on the Location bar, see the Smart Location Bar article.
Items that appear with a star along the right edge are part of your Bookmarks and not your browsing history.

To prevent bookmarks from appearing in the list, you need to install an add-on called Hide Unvisited. Hide Unvisited is an extension that will remove any page that you haven't visited (since deleting or clearing history) from the list of results.
For instructions on how to install add-ons, see Customizing Firefox with add-ons.
