solved History display is inconvenient

I'm new to Firefox. I find that the History display is very inconvenient. I haven't found an extension or any other way to display the entries the way that IE does, alphabetically by site name for each day, with the actual pages visited listed under each site, somewhat like the following tree-style format (which is difficult to show, given this forum's style constraints):

Friday

+Site A

Page 1
Page 2

+Site B

Page 1
Page 2

Today

+Site A

Page 1
Page 2

+Site B

Page 2

In addition, is there any way to limit the number of days that Firefox keeps the History data? The only setting that I see keeps the History for "at least" the number of days specified. I'd prefer a setting that keeps the data for "exactly" the number of days specified and then deletes it.

Extensions installed:

Adblock Plus
AI RoboForm Toolbar
ColorfulTabs
Cooliris Previews
deskCut
FireShot
Highlighter
IdentFavIcon
IE Tab -
Java Quick Starter
Live IP Address
Menu Editor — ctrl+shift+S to open Options dialog
New Tab Button on Tab Right
OpenBook
Print/Print Preview
RankChecker
Site Information Tool
TinyUrl Creator
Total Validator
Update Notifier

Plugins installed:

You can click the View button in the side bar (View > Sidebar > History, Ctrl+H) to change the display to By Date and Site.

Thank you, that's exactly what I wanted.

I've been working with History > Show All History. I had removed the History button from the Navigation toolbar in the mistaken belief that it duplicated History in the Menu bar. I should have checked it first. My bad.

You're welcome
