Translating articles
Before you translate:
- Make sure you have registered an account on the Firefox Support website. If you haven't, please register.
- In your account preferences, set
- Group: as Contributor.
- Language: to your preferred language
- Go to the article you would like to translate. For a list of article ranked by popularity, click here.
- If the article has not been translated into your language, there should be a message above the article title, stating that the article has not been translated to your language, and provide a "translate this page" link, for you to create a translation of the article. Click on the "translate this page" link.

- You will then be asked to provide a title for the translated article. Enter the translated title, and click Create translation.
- NOTE: Out of the entire knowledge base, among all languages, no 2 articles can have the same name.
- The title your article should be a translation of the title of the article you want to translate. Do not use generic titles, like "Firefox".
- You can now start translating the article.
- If there are screenshots, you can replace them with your own screenshots.
- When you've completed the translation, click on Complete tanslation.

- Your article will not be public until someone with approver permissions can approve your article, thus making it public. For more information, see Approving articles and edits.
