Hello cruzn!
I found a workaround, but please don't ask me why it works ;-)
1) Install this addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/
2) Open the config dialog of the addon (via Firefox->Web Developer->Remote XUL Manager or Tools->Web Developer->Remote XUL Manager)
3) Press "Add" and enter the address of the broken LN-Webpage (webmail07.un.org in this case)
4) Open the webpage and it should work fine!
For german users, the interface terms are different: Tools = Extras; Web Developer = Web Entwickler; Remote XUL Manager = nicht-natives XUL verwenden
I found this workaround through this webpage: https://kb.bluecoat.com/index?page=content&id=FAQ1323&actp=RSS
If it works, let me know. :-) If not, i think i cannot help. :-(
Best regards!

I've found more information about it. There are a lot of threads concerning this or similair problems. These two are the most valuable ones, I think:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/796170
http://support.mozilla.com/my/questions/771546
Also IBM promised to fix the problem with Fix Pack 2 of Release 8.5.2 (see https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21473999 ), but there is no information in the release notes of it: http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/r5fixlist.nsf/8d1c0550e6242b69852570c900549a74/91eb8ae5fa35b3cc85257826007a2d94?OpenDocument
Therefore I guess, that IBM customers have to wait for release 8.5.3, wich will come out in july 2011, to fully support Firefox 4. See https://www-304.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=0&uid=swg21474006 and http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/r5fixlist.nsf/%28Progress%29/852%20FP3 for more information.
