OCSP (Online Certificate Status Protocol) is a feature that checks the validity of security certificates used by secure (https) sites. In Firefox 2, if you enable OCSP and the OCSP service you chose is malfunctioning, Firefox will give you an OCSP error message.

In Firefox 2, the only way to stop these error messages is to disable OCSP.
- At the top of the Firefox windowOn the menu bar, click on the ToolsFirefoxEdit menu, and select Options...Preferences....
- Select the Advanced panel.
- Click the Encryption tab.
- Click Verification.
- Select Do not use OCSP for certification validation.
- Click OK to close the Verification window.
- Click OK to close the Options windowClick Close to close the Preferences windowClose the Preferences window.
With OCSP disabled, you should not receive any more OCSP errors.
