solved I have "remember passwords" checked but this 3.5.4 version won't remember any of my passwords. Any help please?

I have the "remember passwords" box checked but this update 3.5.4 Firefox will not remember any of my passwords.

This answer solved the problem.

Check that you do not start Firefox in Private Browsing mode (Tools > Stop Private Browsing is grayed)
Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
Un-check: [ ] "Automatically start Firefox in a private browsing session"
You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
